Method of Assessment
To earn the Level 3 Diploma, you must submit written assignments and undergo direct observation. Importantly, this course does not have an exam. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout the course.
Written Assignments:The assignments will be marked internally by an assessor. Your personal tutor will provide you with constructive feedback and guide you to help you improve in your future assessment.
Practical Placement:You need a practical placement in a childcare setting with a minimum of 350 hours to be completed. You will spend this time in the following age ranges.

Direct Observation: You should undergo direct observation in the workplace. A qualified individual will assess your performance and readiness to work with children from birth to 5 years. A witness statement must be produced to confirm your competence in the workplace.
